Real-Time Preview
As you customize your Frontdesk Brand Kit, the console to the right (which looks like a smartphone) updates in real-time, giving you an accurate preview of how your guide will appear to guests.
Since guests will almost always view your guide on their phones, use this preview to check for consistency, formatting, and errors to ensure an optimal experience.
1. Accessing the Brand Kit
Navigate to Frontdesk and log into your account.
In the left sidebar, select Brand Kit under the Marketing section.
2. Host Info
Customize your host profile with a name and profile image.
Update the contact info title, which appears on the guide homepage.
Upload a profile photo, which will default to the user's profile image if left blank.
3. Navigation
Modify the navigation bar settings.
Logo visibility options include all pages, homepage only, or hide.
All pages: The logo will appear on all pages of your guide.
Homepage only: The logo will only appear on the welcome screen of Property Info.
Hide: No logo will appear anywhere.
You can also customize the logo by uploading separate logos for light mode and dark mode versions.
If you don't add a custom logo, Frontdesk's logo will appear instead.
4. Page Footer
Customize the bottom of your guide by adding a logo if you want brand consistency.
Upload an image for a more customized look.
Hide the footer if you prefer a minimalistic design.
Change the background color of the footer.
5. Bottom Navigation Bar
Rename and update icons for home, house info, local map, store, and offers.
Upload custom icons if you want a unique look.
If you rename the navigation bar buttons, keep the names short. Longer names will be cut off.
6. Fonts
Upload custom fonts for primary and secondary fonts.
Adjust font weight (boldness), color, and letter spacing.
Where to Find Free Custom Fonts
Download free custom fonts from Google Fonts, Dafont, Font Squirrel, and Adobe Fonts.
These sources provide various web-optimized and commercial-use fonts.
Supported file formats include woff2, woff, and ttf.
7. Homepage Customization
Choose between caption style or logo style for your homepage.
Caption style displays custom text above your property name.
Edit the text field to change the greeting message.
Customize the font, font weight, color, and letter spacing.
Logo style uses your uploaded logo as the main visual instead of text, useful for branding consistency.
If using caption style, the text field will appear above your property name on the home screen, allowing you to add a welcoming message or personalize your guest’s experience.
8. Page Headers
Customize the header images and titles for different sections such as house info, map, and store.
Upload desktop and mobile images.
Hide the title or image if needed.
9. Icons & Map Pins Customization
Upload custom icons for host pick, which are recommended places by the host.
Upload custom icons for map pin, which are custom map markers for locations.
Customize the upload icon, which represents the host’s listing on the local map.
By default, it uses a house-shaped icon, but you can replace it with a custom image.
Change the active pin colors, inactive pin colors, and border colors for both active and inactive pins.
Active vs. Inactive Pins
Active pins are highlighted when a user selects or interacts with a location.
Inactive pins remain in the default, non-highlighted state.
Using a unique upload icon for your listing will make it easier for guests to identify your property among other locations on the map.
